In order to ensure that the work carried out on your property is up to scratch, and any larger jobs such as rewires, consumer unit changes and even work carried out in bathrooms are notified to the Local Authority Building Control (LABC), check that any electrician you use is a member of one of the competent persons schemes run by one of the providers. This proves that they have the relevant qualifications, up to date knowledge and liability insurance for the work they will be carrying out.
The schemes are run by Stroma Certification (of which Middle Earth Electrics is a member), NICEIC, Elecsa and Napit. Any electrical installer whose business is a member of one of these schemes should be able to provide you with their identity card. The details can also be checked and verified online by clicking here
You can use the same site to find a registered electrician near you.
Any work notified to the Local Authority Building Control out by Middle Earth Electrics is guaranteed for six years by Stroma Certification.
