Replacing a consumer unit (fuse board)

The photos are of a  recent consumer unit replacement and highlight the difference a professional upgrade can make. The existing board was outdated and did not provide RCD protection across all circuits, reducing the level of protection against electric shock and certain fault conditions. It did not have surge protection, which would block any high voltage spikes and save electronic devices from damage.

The new consumer unit has been carefully installed with clearly organised wiring, modern protective devices, and comprehensive testing, resulting in a safer, neater, and more reliable electrical installation.
